Top Gear host gives update on Freddie Flintoff
Top Gear presenter Chris Harris has given a health update on Freddie flintoff while appearing on BBC Breakfast and admitted that he is proud of how the show handled his horror crash.
“I think he’s healing. I’m not going to say more than that,” he said.
“I’m so proud of the fact that team Top Gear kept everything quiet and we were dignified. There is nothing out there about what happened, there won’t be. There’s no mole in the organisation.
“I’m really proud of that. So I hope you understand [why he won’t say more].
“As long as he’s healing it’s great to see him out and about being passionate about cricket,” he intimated.

Freddie crashed during filming at Surrey’s Dunsfold Aerodrome in December 2022.
He suffered serious facial injuries and broken ribs. The vehicle flipped over and slid along the track.
He was immediately tended to by on-site medics and airlifted to hospital.
It was the second time that the father-of-four has suffered a serious accident while filming Top Gear. In 2019, he had a narrow escape after a 129mph crash.
In October the BBC issued a statement after it was reported the broadcaster was axing the show. It said: “A decision on the timing of future Top Gear shows will be made in due course with BBC Content.”

In September he was snapped at the Kia Oval in London, taking part in net sessions with the England cricket team, still bearing visible scars from the horror crash.
Last month it was reported that he had reached a £9 million settlement with the BBC over the incident.
A spokesperson from BBC Studios confirmed to Express.co.uk that a settlement had been made.
They said: “BBC Studios has reached an agreement with Freddie that we believe supports his continued rehabilitation, return to work and future plans.
“We have sincerely apologised to Freddie and will continue to support him with his recovery.”
