Woman's body found in Brimscombe canal after being spotted in the water | The Sun
A WOMAN'S body has tragically been found in a canal.
Emergency services were called to the canal near Brimscombe, Stroud, at 10.45am on Sunday, September 24.
The remains were spotted by a member of the public.
Gloucestershire Police said they are now probing the death of the woman, aged in her 50s.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and her next of kin have been notified.
In a statement, Gloucestershire Police said: “At around 10.45am on Sunday (24 September) we were called to the canal near Brimscombe after a member of public saw a body in the water.

"Emergency services attended and a woman aged in her 50s was removed from the canal.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and the woman’s next of kin and the coroner have been informed.”
