Urgent hunt for man who 'groped woman in her 70s' in busy town centre as cops release CCTV | The Sun

AN urgent hunt is on for a man who "groped a woman in her 70s".

The horror happened in Leicester town centre in broad daylight on August 26.


It is understood the pensioner was walking through Jubilee Square around 4.30pm when she was approached and touched "inappropriately".

The suspect then walked off – leaving the woman in shock, say cops.

Police have since released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

Leicestershire Police said: "Police would like to speak to him in connection with a report of an attempted sexual assault in Leicester.

"A woman in her 70s reported that at around 4.30pm on Saturday August 26, a man approached her while she was walking through Jubilee Square and tried to touch her inappropriately, before walking off.

"It is believed the man pictured may have information that could help."

Anyone who might have seen the man pictured is asked to contact the force via their website – using crime reference number 23*539221 or call 101.
