Not all heroes wear capes! Fireman drives an HOUR to return a woman’s handbag lost at a Christmas party

• Firefighter was identified as Nyma, who describes himself as an Iranian Scouser 

A fireman has gone viral after he drove an hour to return a woman’s handbag lost at a Christmas party.

Footage posted on TikTok shows firefighter Nyma approach a door at night. ‘I’ve got your bag. Are you Georgia?,’ he asked. 

The overjoyed woman confirmed it was her bag and said she had been ‘crying her eyes out’ over losing it.

Nyma, who describes himself as an Iranian Scouser on Instagram, found the bag at a petrol station in North London and drove all the way to Hertfordshire to return it.

He said he was going to wait until the next morning to return the bag, but remembered how stressed his ex girlfriend was when she had lost hers and decided to bring it to Georgia right away.

Georgia repeatedly offered to give him money for returning her bag, but humble Nyma refused. 

‘Just pay it forward. Just do something nice for the next person,’ he said. ‘I’m a firefighter, I don’t need money for doing a good deed.’

Nyma was identified as the man in the video by one of his friends, who commented: ‘This is a mate of mine. This is him all over, such a caring man.’

The doorbell camera footage was posted by a fashion retailer called Bows Boutique, who revealed employee Georgia had lost her bag after attending the company’s Christmas party.

‘It’s safe to say [Nyma] was the hero and we are all at Bows so grateful for making our girl so happy. How amazing is this to do and a huge thank you,’ the fashion store wrote on TikTok.

Nyma was identified as the man in the video by one of his friends, who commented: ‘This is a mate of mine. This is him all over, such a caring man’
