Virgin River s5 exit bombshell as fans spot clue beloved character will leave

Virgin River season five could see the departure of another key character with fans spotting a clue.
The heartwarming series is back for 12 more new episodes with the drama’s release date on Thursday, September 7, on Netflix.
To get subscribers excited for what’s to come, the streamer has come out with a trailer, teasing more plot twists, romance and gossip is on the way.
Among the usual drama, a clip is shown of Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson), teasing Preacher (Colin Lawrence) about love.
He says: “You never know when the love of your life is going to walk right into this bar.”

In that moment, fans see a beautiful woman sitting on top of the bar, holding her hand out for Preacher who then slowly caresses her.
Naturally, fans couldn’t help but feel excited to see a potential love interest for the former US marine but also surmised it could lead to the departure of his friend Paige (Lexa Doig) and her son Christopher (Chase Petriw).
Later on in the trailer, there is a quiet moment between Preacher and Paige holding hands across the table as if they were discussing something important.

Taking to Reddit to discuss the trailer, one fan wrote: “And my man PREACH is finally going to meet the love of his life, maybe?
“Dear God, please let them have chemistry. But hopefully, that means Paige is gone at some point.
“I’m beginning to think she is the one referred to as leaving in the synopsis.”
Another agreed: “Yay for Preach! I’m almost sure Paige and Christopher are leaving.”
There is also a hint an exit could be on the horizon thanks to the season five synopsis.
It reads: “Season Five of Virgin River features surprising new relationships, a shocking break-up, a difficult court trial, a heartbreaking goodbye, and a wildfire that threatens the town, bringing some people of Virgin River together while tearing others apart.”
So perhaps it really is time to say farewell to Paige once and for all.
