This Morning legend returning to the show after a year off screen and rumours of feud with Holly and Phil | The Sun
RYLAN Clark is RETURNING as a host on This Morning next week alongside regular Josie Gibson, the Sun can exclusively reveal.
It comes after the popular Essex-born presenter, who turns 35 today, has had a 14-month hiatus from the ITV daytime show, last appearing on the sofa alongside Ruth Langsford, 63, in August 2022.
The flagship has been left in crisis since star Holly Willoughby, 42, quit a fortnight ago, just months after Phillip Schofield, 61, was axed for having had an affair with a much younger runner, leaving a shortage among the presenter rotation.
A TV source said: "Rylan is already part of the This Morning family and an absolute presenting professional. He has experience both on the sofa and fronting his own telly shows so the audience are safe in his hands.
"He is excited about coming back into the fold and bosses are keen to see how viewers respond to him and his chemistry with Josie with the view to getting him back in again in the near future.
"It's been a turbulent time for the series and hosts like Rylan are vital when it comes to steadying the ship."

Earlier this year there was speculation that Rylan had thrown shade at Scofield amid the fallout when he did an interview in May.
Rylan, who announced he was leaving Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two in April, did not name anyone, but said: "People can see who are the real ones and can very much see who isn't.
"I've been in this industry for nearly 11 years and all I've ever been is nice and polite to people.
"And that's starting to pay off for me now because there are people in this industry who aren't like that. They think they're something special. And the walls are starting to fall."

Last month Rylan made another thinly-veiled dig at Schofield in an interview with The Telegraph discussing showbiz gossip.
He said: "The only time I get involved with something like that is when my name is involved.
He went on to explain that he lives by the motto: "Work hard, be decent to everybody and be nice to everyone on the way up, because everyone has a fall."
An ITV spokeswoman declined to comment.
