Strictlys Krishnan Guru-Murthy at risk as star doesnt have fire in his belly
A body language expert claims Strictly Come Dancing contestant Krishnan Guru-Murthy and professional partner Lauren Oakley exhibit a “lack of passion”.
After receiving a score of 22 in week one and 20 in week two, Krishnan, 53, currently sits in joint third place on the Strictly leaderboard, alongside Zara McDermott and partner Graziano Di Prima.
Following the newsreader’s Cha Cha Cha to ‘Boom Shack-A-Lack’ by Apache Indian and his Foxtrot to Billy Ocean’s ‘Love Really Hurts Without You’, Darren Stanton has discussed what he believes is missing from the duo’s routines.
Speaking to Betfair, the author said: “When I look at Krishnan and Lauren dancing together, there isn’t much of a connection between them yet.
“There is a lack of passion from both of them. Krishnan doesn’t have a fire in his belly and it feels quite forced when he’s dancing.”

The body language and behavioural expert continued to say that couples like Nigel Harman and Katya Jones, and Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell have already proven that they want to lift the Glitterball Trophy.
“A lot of the couples have shown they’re really going for it and proving they want to be there. But I don’t get the same impression from Krishnan and Lauren,” added Darren. “They aren’t tactile in the routine, and there seems to be a lack of energy.”
While Darren may believe Krishnan and Birmingham-born Lauren are missing the spark, judges Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke have previously praised the presenter’s efforts.

After completing his Cha Cha Cha in week one, Head Judge Shirley, 63, said: “You have something, you have a gift. Natural co-ordination.”
Elsewhere, Kent native Anton, 57, told him: “Great stuff, well done, I loved it,” while Craig Revel Horwood said: “I’m not going to be able to watch you on the news ever again. I felt like I was at a rave.”
While the Strictly judges have been supportive of the Unreported World star, the 53-year-old recently admitted that his son finds his dancing “appalling”.
Speaking to The Sun, Krishnan said: “He’s in a band and playing on the nights of the first two shows, so he wouldn’t be able to watch anyway. But he’s not showing any great enthusiasm to come at the moment.”
For Movie Week, the dancer will be performing a Charleston to ‘Money Money’, taken from the Liza Minnelli-starring Cabaret.
You can tune into Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday at 6.20pm on BBC One.
