Noughties Disney child star looks unrecognisable with hair transformation and new career 10 years after shooting to fame | The Sun
TEEN Disney star Dove Cameron looks worlds away from her Liv and Maddie days after launching a new career.
The US star, who is now 27, won an Outstanding Performance Emmy for her role as both leading characters in the kids' show.
The comedy, which aired from 2013 to 2017, focused on the family dynamic between the twin sisters, with Liv a successful Hollywood actress and Maddie, a sports mad tomboy.
Dove followed her time on that programme with another long-running Disney franchise, playing Mal in Descendants.
The multi-talented star also honed her live performance skills off-Broadway in Clueless and starred in a live televised version of Hairspray.
Now her focus is very much on her singing career.

Last year Dove, who is rocking a new darker hairdo, landed a top 10 in the UK with her track Boyfriend.
The catchy song also cracked the top 20 in the US thanks to going viral on social media platform TikTok.
The song's success helped her win Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Her latest single Other Boys is a collaboration with EDM star Marshmello, and her debut album, Celestial Body, is due for release this year.

While her career has been on a steady trajectory upwards ever since she burst onto the scene as a child, Dove's personal life hasn't been as smooth.
When she was just eight her close friend was murdered and her dad took his own life seven years later. Dove has also had to contend with her sexuality, coming out as queer in 2020.
Earlier this year she told Alternative Press: "I stopped dating men. I came out. I dyed my hair. I had many, many, many mental breakdowns where I realized I couldn’t keep living the way I was. I reached a point where I realized I literally wasn’t going to survive if I was going on like that.”
In a 2021 interview with Gay Times, Dove opened up about her experience with being queer.
"I went on Instagram Live and said 'Guys, I really needed to explain something to you,'" she said at the time.
"'Maybe I haven't said it, but I'm super queer. This is something I want to represent through my music because it's who I am.'"
She added: "I've hinted about my sexuality for years while being afraid to spell it out for everybody."
