ITV Im A Celebrity start date confirmed and its just weeks away
ITV have confirmed when I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will return to our screens, and fans don’t have long to wait.
During an advert break in the middle of Good Morning Britain on Monday, 6 November, fans got to see the usual advert for I’m A Celeb, but at the end of the ad, the start date was confirmed as Sunday, 19 November.
The voiceover for the advert confirmed that the launch episode will be on ITV1 and ITVX live on the big day.
At the moment, ITV have not confirmed which celebrities are brave enough to head into the famous jungle, but there are plenty of names being linked with the programme.
From This Morning host Josie Gibson to Masterchef’s Grace Dent, the speculation has been mounting about who will make the cut this year.
Jockey Frankie Dettori is another name that has been linked with the new series, and ahead of the launch, he has been spotted in Australia.
The 52 year old is in the country for some media duties for the Melbourne Cup meeting, but when the meeting comes to an end this week, he is expected to fly over to Brisbane to isolate for a few days before entering the jungle.
He confirmed his involvement in the meeting on social media as he wrote: “Hi everyone, I am here in California at the moment. I will get on the plane after racing, I'm coming to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup.
“Unfortunately, this year I'm suspended, so I can ride but I will support the Melbourne Cup carnival for the week, see some old friends riding and have a smashing time at the racing. Hopefully, we see some good winners, so make sure you come and see us.”
Love Island ’s Gemma Owen has also sparked rumours that she is swapping the villa for the jungle after she jetted off to Australia last week.
On her Instagram story, the 20 year old posted a picture of her set up on a plane, telling her followers that she was on her way to Australia.
Normally, the stars don’t arrive in the country until around a week before the show begins, but both Frankie and Gemma could just be early arrivals.
However, according to the bookies, First Dates legend Fred Siriex is the favourite to go on the programme this year.
Also amongst the favourites is Josie Gibson, Coronation Street ’s Alan Halsall, Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson and former politician Nigel Farage.
Some other names on the list include former the One Show host Matt Baker, comedian Catherine Tate, and weatherman Alex Beresford.
