Ian punched in the face as Cindy gets close to ex George in EastEnders
It was an unlucky day for Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) in the most recent instalment of EastEnders, when everything that could go wrong for him, did.
Having already scuppered a business lunch with Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), Ian was determined to get back on track in order to secure Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) a business of her own.
After inviting him for another meeting, Ian met Nish in the Queen Vic, where things only went downhill.
He managed to get on the wrong side of landlord and love-rival George Knight (Colin Salmon) with his lack of manners, leading George to interrupt his sales pitch to point out that only two of Ian’s many businesses have survived.
With things going badly with Nish, Ian was soon distracted by Anna Knight and Freddie Slater (Molly Rainford and Bobby Brazier), who wanted to come clean to Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) about their one night stand.

Their night of passion was something that Ian had found out about earlier in the day, and in a misguided attempt at protecting his son, he was soon blurting it out in front of the whole pub.
Bobby was left devastated by his best friend’s betrayal, as he struggled to come to terms with what had happened.
As Ian continued to berate Anna, he earned himself a punch in the face from her sister Gina (Francesca Henry), who demanded that he keep Anna’s name out of his mouth.
Ian wasn’t about to get any support from his family, with Cindy pointing out that he had deserved it.
As Ian attempted to make things up with Bobby, Cindy was still desperate to build bridges with her own daughters.
As she looked up at them through a window, George spotted her, and asked her what it was she saw in Ian.
When she admitted that she loved him, George couldn’t help but laugh.
As they discussed Gina’s impressive right hook, George revealed that she got her fire from her mum, which is what had made him fall in love with Cindy in the first place, or at least the woman he thought she was.
Cindy assured him that it was the real her he had fallen for, and the pair were soon sharing a moment, as Cindy fixed the position of George’s collar.
However, what she didn’t realise was that Ian was watching from a distance, clearly still threatened by George.
Is Ian set to lose Cindy to her ex-husband?
