Dancing With The Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro confirms Len Goodman tribute

Strictly Come Dancing pays tribute to Len Goodman

Dancing With The Stars is planning an emotional tribute to the late Len Goodman to honour his memory as a legendary judge.

The Strictly Come Dancing veteran Goodman was a mainstay of the series since the show first launched in 2005, but tragically died in April this year from bone cancer.

His time on Dancing With The Stars ended just five months prior, with him announcing he was planning to leave the show to “spend more time with his grandkids” during season 31.

Following his death, those who worked alongside Goodman have been making plans in order to make sure they pay tribute to him properly in season 32.

Speaking to People Magazine, Alfonso Ribeiro – who will be hosting the show this season alongside Julianne Hough – said they are making sure Goodman will be remembered.

He told the outlet: “I can guarantee you that every one of those pros will be making sure that the routines are still designed for Len.

“I know I’ve talked to a few of them and they will be putting in specific steps that Len used to love, just to make sure that the content is still there for Len.”

He also confirmed plans for a memorial segment, and said: “It’ll be amazing, I mean, he was the best.”

The comments come as the cast prepares to kick off the latest series of Dancing With The Stars, which starts on ABC on September 26.

The show will be airing live and will be available to watch the next day on Hulu.
