Coronation Street’s Stu Carpenters concerned for Eliza after incident

Coronation Street: Dramatic moment Stu is arrested

Coronation Street’s Stu Carpenter (played by Bill Fellows) will grow increasingly concerned for granddaughter Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) after spotting her with a black eye.

Earlier this year, fans of the ITV soap saw Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt) enter his daughter’s life once again.

Although Eliza was more than happy to build a relationship with her father, Stu was unconvinced after speaking to her mum in prison.

After warning him that Dom was trouble, Stu tried his best to keep the relationship with his granddaughter the same.

However, the more she got closer to her dad, Eliza became more disobedient and rebellious of her grandparent’s parenting.

In the end, Eliza decided she wanted to move out and live with Dom, much to Stu’s disappointment.

After leaving, Stu hires a personal investigator called Lesley to try and dig up some dirt on Dom to get Eliza back.

Official spoilers reveal that next week, Stu and his PI meet, although it’s not good news as she admits to having no information on Dom despite looking into him.

However, Stu insists she carries on digging whatever the cost, adamant that they’ll be able to find something to prevent him from keeping Eliza.

Later on, Eliza pays Stu a visit for some tea when she admits to getting a detention at school for falling asleep in class.

Confessing she slept because she was tired after staying up all night watching a horror movie, her grandfather is furious.

In the week, concern for Eliza grows when Stu and Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) realise the child has a black eye.

Curious to find out what happened, she explains to them it’s nothing to worry about as she just took a hit in Taekwondo.

With Eliza falling asleep in class on top of getting a black eye, Stu decides to take drastic action.

As Felicity calls to talk to Eliza, both the child and Yasmeen are shocked to realise Stu has alerted Social Services.

Will Stu’s meddling give him the result he wants with Eliza back at home and away from Dom?

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
