Princess Charlotte's sweet 'catchphrase' revealed in adorable clip helping mum Princess Kate at baby bank | The Sun

PRINCESS Charlotte comically repeated a famous French catchphrase in an adorable clip helping her mum Princess Kate at a baby bank.

The Princess of Wales took her eight-year-old daughter, as well as sons Prince George, 10, and Prince Louis, five, to the Baby Bank in Windsor.

In the footage captured by filmmaker Will Warr and posted on Monday, the royal kids could be seen packing gift bags of clothes at the recent secret outing.

The video begins with Kate pulling up in a car with the children before they all took boxes full of toys and clothes from the trunk.

Once inside, the Princess of Wales explained to them that they were going to be volunteering for the evening.

Excited at the announcement, Charlotte said "Ooh la la" – a favourite catchphrase of the young princess.

The well-known French saying is often used to express surprise, admiration or excitement over something.

Charlotte was first heard using it in 2019 when visiting her mother's Back to Nature Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.

The fans were amused at the sweet lines of the young royal.

One tweeted: "I'm cracking up, knowing that one of Charlotte's lines is saying 'ooh la la'."

Another added: " Charlotte's ooh la la is so sweet."

The moment has quickly become iconic for some, as they had it stuck in their head.

One fan wrote: "Do you ever just randomly hear Charlotte saying “Ooh la la” in your head??"

The heartfelt clip was posted on the Wales' official accounts on social media.

It showed the royal family attending the event to help with the Christmas Pyjama appeal last month.

In the video, the kids are told to pick out donations for their peers across the country based on what they would like themselves.

Following this advice, Prince Louis chooses a King Kong toy for one boy saying: "this is a big guy".

And Charlotte is in fits of giggles as she picks up a baby grow and cries out "it's in Welsh".

While George, seen sorting through clothes and toys, apparently wishes to come back and volunteer again.

The kids folded the clothes, and helped pack and carry referral bags for local families.

The young princess also grabs a felt-tip pen to write out the gift labels.

In a further clip, Kate put a protective arm around her eldest son and said: "You can see how rewarding the work is" as the prince agreed.

The baby bank at Windsor was set up by two local mothers in 2015 and has since helped over 24,000 families in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

These numbers are seeing a dramatic jump with the team helping a further 300 referrals in the first three months of this year alone.

A third of children under five-years-old live in poverty.

Earlier this month the Princess of Wales kick-started an awareness campaign for Baby Banks for the festive season as part of her Royal Foundation for the Centre for Early Childhood.
