Lidl shoppers race to pick up 'unreal' £15 gadget to stay warm without heating on and it costs nothing to run | The Sun

LIDL shoppers are rushing to buy a quirky heating gadget that costs nothing to run.

The discounter is selling stove fans with 50% off in its huge winter sale.

One savvy shopper picked up the deal and shared her find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

The post read: "£29.99 in the middle of Lidl but got 50% off so got it for £15."

The happy customer added that she had started to use the fan and it was "fab".

Other people were quick to commment on the post, and some had already managed to pick up the bargain for themselves.

Another person commented: "Had loads in my Lidl, but didn't know what it was."

While a third added: "Bought the single one as we already have one great buy."

The stove fan that is available in Lidl is made by VonHaus and is designed to sit on a stove heater or log burner.

The double fan has six blades that create an airflow which circulates the heat from the stove into your room.

It is completely self powered and all that is required is the heat from your stove heater.

Just sit the fan ontop of your stove and when the heat reaches 50°C the fan starts to circulate, distributing the heat into the room.

It is the perfect way to keep warm at home without sending your heating bills soaring.

The Lidl stove fan is part of the discounters huge middle aisle winter sale, so stocks will not be around forever.

You can only take advantage of this offer by popping in store, it is not available online.

If you want to find out where your nearest Lidl store is you can use the store locator tool on the website.

The sale is on now until December 8, so don't hang around if you want to bag a bargain.

Shoppers have already been taking to social media to share their festive finds.

One person wrote on Facebook: “Got my bargains!”

The shopper shared a snap of a trolley filled with bargains including a winter duvet, a box of prosecco, cuddly toys and even an air fryer.

“Quick, quick, quick,” said someone else said.

A third said: “May have to look tonight!”

On the Lidl site, the retailer added shoppers may be able to find deals on: “Parkside tools and Livarno outdoor furniture to nifty additions for your kitchen and bathroom.”

Remember that anything included in the Middle Aisle sale will not include food, and stock levels will vary from store to store.

While we think that the stove top fan deal is going to be a hard one to beat, we have had a look around to see what other retailers are offering.

B&Q has the exact same fan as Lidl in stock online for £34.99, which is double the price of the Lidl offer.

It also has a cheaper version for £24.99, but it does not look as sturdy as the VonHaus fan.

Amazon had a few cheaper options, starting from around £17.99 for a four blade fan.

John Lewis also had a similar version for £24.99, and The Range has a six blade fan for the same price.

There is a lot of choice out there and it just depends on what you want and how much you would like to spend.

You can use comparison sites such as Google shopping to compare the cost across different retailers.

How else can I save money at Lidl

The supermarket is already a great place to bag yourself a bargain, but there are a few ways you can make your money go even further.

Shop early to get the best deals in Lidl's bargain hour

Lidl reduces items at the start of the day and the best deals can be found between 7am to 8am, when most stores open.

It's not guaranteed you'll find massive reductions each time you visit, but getting to your local when it opens will give you a better chance.

Keep track of the pick of the week

You can also keep tabs on what's appearing in the "Pick of the Week" section on the Lidl website.

The discounts happen every Thursday and are usually on fruit, vegetables and meat.

Use social media and the Lidl app

To stay in the know, follow Lidl on all its social media outlets. Another way to keep up with offers is by downloading Lidl's app.
