'It's a special place to us': Newlyweds have wedding reception in McDonald’s
A happy couple has celebrated their wedding day by having the reception in a McDonald’s restaurant.
Pastor Speedwell Brasileiro and pedagogy student Ana Luiza Brasileiro became husband and wife in a civil ceremony in Goiânia, Brazil.
Then, the church minister and his bride had their first meal as a married couple at the fast food joint because it’s their ‘special’ place.
‘It was a unique and surreal moment for both of us; we were very happy,’ Ana Luiza, 19, told local media.
Photos show Speedwell and Ana Luiza ordering on a touchscreen menu and happily tucking into their food with their arms entwined.
The bride and groom, 27, met in April this year when the Speedwell led a service at Ana Luiza’s church.

Ana Luiza said: ‘We got to know each other through social media, arranged a meeting, and started dating.’
Speedwell, who is also a gospel singer online, added: ‘Since we met, we’ve always come to the McDonald’s’.
The couple had originally planned on having a big wedding party with all their family and friends, but instead ended up opting for a small civil ceremony and trip to Maccas.
Speedwell said: ‘We celebrated in a place that was special to both of us.’
Ana Luiza added: ‘Seeing people’s joy, and their reaction when they saw us celebrating there was very gratifying.
‘I was so happy! It was an extraordinarily wonderful experience.’
