I’m a former Arsenal star who was let go for £600k, now I’m worth £30MILLION and in a title fight with Harry Kane | The Sun
ARSENAL let Donyell Malen go for just £600,000… and he's now worth FIFTY times that.
The Dutch hotshot is lighting up the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund, helping fire them into a title fight with Harry Kane's Bayern Munich.
Malen, 24, joined Arsenal from Ajax as a highly-rated teen in 2015.
He was tipped to follow in the footsteps of previous Dutch forwards such as Dennis Bergkamp, Robin van Persie and Marc Overmars.
And he was compared to then-Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez by his coaches.
Despite his promising talent, he never got a chance in North London, and was sold back to Holland, with PSV, for a modest price of £600,000 just two years later.

Fast forward to today, Malen is a deadly winger valued at £30million by Transfermarkt.
And after his four years at the Eredivisie side, smashing 55 goals in 116 appearances, Malen made a move to Germany in 2021 for £26m.
Having started slowly at Dortmund, the forward made his mark during Sebastian Haller's absence last term.
But he has been in great form for the Bundesliga giants this term, in their unbeaten start to the season.

Malen has scored four goals in 11 appearances for Dortmund who sit fourth in the Bundesliga table.
The German side are currently trailing behind Bayern only by goal difference meaning Malen will be battling it out with newcomer Kane for the top spot this season.
Meanwhile, Malen's star performance this term may be turning the heads of other European giants, including old side Arsenal.
Gabriel Jesus' injury issues are proving to be a worry for Mikel Arteta's side.
Since leaving the Emirates, Malen has shown his familiarity with hitting the ball between the sticks.
Half-way through his time at PSV he made his first appearances for the Netherlands national team and scored in his debut game against Germany in 2019.
He has so far scored five goals in 26 caps for his country.
And has continued his goalscoring streak at Dortmund where he has scored 23 goals in 84 appearances during his three terms at the club.
