I scored my one and only Man Utd goal to get Sir Alex Ferguson his first win – now I run my own agency | The Sun
SIR ALEX FERGUSON'S first goal as Manchester United manager was scored by forgotten star John Sivabeck.
The Dane spent only one year at Old Trafford before being sold to St Etienne.
The right-back made 36 appearances and scored just one goal – a winner against QPR which gave Ferguson his first victory as United boss.
The Red Devils had played 213 minutes of football under Fergie without scoring a goal before Sivabeck curled in a free-kick at Old Trafford.
Sivabeck, 61, also had spells at Monaco, Pescara and Danish side Vejle, where he made 296 appearances.
The defender won 87 caps for Denmark and was part of the team that claimed victory in the European Championship in 1992.
