Asda shoppers rush to buy 'fabulous' Le Creuset dupe scanning at tills for just £6 – £219 less than the original | The Sun

ASDA shoppers have been rushing to buy a "fabulous" Le Creuset dupe scanning at tills for just £6.

The boujie brand is famous for selling casserole dishes and other cooking items.


An original Le Creuset can cost anywhere from £195 to £455.

One lucky shopper managed to find a dupe at Asda which was going for just £6.

The supermarket giant is selling a similar casserole 2.5L dish for only £6.

In comparison, a Le Creuset 2.4L – the closest size to the Asda dish – would cost shoppers a huge £225, that's a £219 difference.

Posting in Facebook's Extreme Couponing & Bargains group, they said: "Picked up this casserole dish from Asda reduced to £6, I also got 75p star buy back on my Asda rewards and won £1 on the spin!

"So technically £4.25. Very Le Creuset-esque."

At the time of writing, the dish was showing as out of stock on the Asda website.

It's worth checking in store though as you may be able to find it there.

You can find your nearest Asda using the store locator tool on its website.

It was also showing for £6, down from £10.

Bear in mind that product and stock can vary from store to store.

It's also worth shopping around for the best deal.

You can use websites such as Trolley, Price Spy and Price Runner to compare prices on thousands of products.

The Google Products tab is a quick way to scan the internet and see how much retailers are selling a certain product for too.

Sainsbury's had a similar dish for £9.33 when we checked, though we couldn't find anything for less than £6.

Supermarkets and other discount retailers often sell dupes of popular and more expensive products.

Earlier this month, Home Bargains shoppers were rushing to by a Le Creuset dupe for £252 less than the original.

it was selling a pumpkin casserole dish for just £16.99.

What's more is that it's pretty much a dupe of luxury brand's Le Creuset's own cast iron pumpkin dish – but this one costs £269.

That's a total saving of £252.01 if you go for the Home Bargains product.

Earlier this week, Aldi shoppers couldn't get enough of an "amazing" perfume dupe selling for £6 and £229 less than the real thing.

The Lacura Cardinal Red spray was on sale as a Specialbuy at the German discounter for £6.
