Stacey Solomon admitted she was an unorganised mess but said having her son Zachary changed her life and forced the singer to get herself together.

In a new interview the Sort Your Life Out host, who helps families transform their homes through decluttering and upcycling, revealed she was not as put together at 17 then she is now at 33.

Despite being branded the “Organisational Queen” due to her home hacks and tidying techniques Stacey revealed she didn’t always have this unique talent.

“Me and my mum laugh about this now, because before I had Zachary I was all over the place,” she told OK! magazine.

“I was such an unorganised mess. I was so scatty and would forget my instruments for school and all my homework and stuff and I just lived this really ridiculously awkward life of losing stuff.”

But when the Loose Women panellist got pregnant as a teenager she came to the realisation that she would need to be more organised because she had a baby to care for as well as school commitments.

“I was still at college doing my A levels, as well as working on the side. As soon as I had Zachary, I realised I couldn’t live my life in a scatty way any more,” she explained.

“I had a human to look after, I had to work out where my milk vouchers were and how I would keep them going for the whole week.”

Stacey has two sons from two previous relationships and three younger kids with husband Joe Swash.

She welcomed her first son, 15-year-old Zachary, when she was 17 with her childhood sweetheart Dean Cox.

Four years later, she welcomed 11-year-old Leighton with her ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham.

Stacey and Joe welcomed their son Rex, four, in May 2019, and two years later, their daughter Rose, arrived.

The on-screen star recently welcomed her fifth addition to her family, daughter Belle, who was born in February.
