Make no bones about it…Zara McDermotts time on Strictly had to come to end

The ex-Love Island star turned documentary maker, 26, and pro Graziano Di Prima lost out to actor Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk in last night’s Halloween special dance-off.

Zara and Graziano, in bone costumes to dance the Charleston to Jeepers Creepers, had survived two previous dance-offs but it was third time unlucky last night.

The judges voted unanimously to save Adam, 35, and Luba, 33, following their American smooth to Magic Moments.

However, Motsi Mabuse said: “There was definitely a fighting spirit from both couples…I think they were both stunning.”

Zara said: “I have had the time of my life. Just to be here is incredible.

“My fellow contestants are just incredible. It has been the most amazing experience. “I can’t believe it’s over but I am going to be here in spirit every week supporting them.”

Graziano, 29, said he was “so proud” of Zara and said her work ethic summed up the show.

He said of their training: “She has been great for me, 8am till 9pm. Never stopping, asking just for a half-an-hour break. “She is literally what Strictly is all about. A real novice, coming in, putting in all the hard job.”

He told Zara: “You have such a good soul. You are so humble and I say thank you that I found a friend like you. I have learnt so much from you.”
