Inside Kate and Williams six luxury homes from charming cottage to Prince Louis first home
They're a royal couple whose love has stood the test of time, and, along the way, The Prince and Princess of Wales have lived in some gorgeous homes.
Now, the husband and wife, who share three children together, George, Charlotte and Louis, are living in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor with their family after moving in at the end of summer 2022.
Just over a year into them living at their latest property, we take a closer look at the six places they have put down roots throughout their relationship….
Adelaide Cottage, Windsor
The Prince and Princess of Wales opted to move to Windsor to be closer to Queen Elizabeth II before her death in 2022. They have now lived in the stunning 19th century cottage, which dates back to 1831, for more than a year.
It's near Windsor Castle and in the grounds of Windsor Home Park, close to St George's Chapel and it was renovated in 2015.
The royal couple's children have all moved to schools in the area and the royal couple have reportedly embraced a quieter life outside of London with their family.
Their picturesque cottage was originally built for Queen Adelaide, who was the wife of King William IV and it had plenty of other special visitors including Queen Victoria.
Apartment 1A, Kensington Palace
The luxurious four-storey London townhouse remains the family's accommodation when they return to the capital city. It was the perfect place to raise a young family and they lived there full-time for five years.
Apartment 1A boasts 20 rooms, including five reception rooms, three main bedrooms and a nursery. Before the Waleses were offered the home in 2011, Queen Elizabeth II's sister Princess Margaret lived there from 1963 until her death in 2002.
The royal couple officially moved into the accommodation in 2013 after renovations occurred. In 2016, photos taken by the White House photographer during Barack Obama and wife Michelle's visit to London provided a sneak peak at the lavish interiors of the home.
Anmer Hall, Sandringham
The Norfolk retreat was given to the Prince and Princess of Wales as a gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Anmer Hall is a Georgian house that was built in 1802 and has two storeys and an attic. It's just as grand as their other homes, featuring 10 bedrooms, gardens and a swimming pool.
The interiors of the house have been described as "a mixture of contemporary designs and well-loved antiques." The royal couple now return to the country retreat with their family for holidays, after living there between 2015 and 2017.
Nottingham Cottage, Kensington Palace
Before officially moving into Apartment 1A, the Waleses lived in Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace. This gave them somewhere to stay while renovations were being done on their home.
It's a special place for many members of the royal family including Prince George, who was a newborn when he lived at the cottage. Over the years, the home was also used by a young Prince William and Harry.
Before Prince Archie was born, the cottage acted as a retreat for Meghan Markle and Harry. It's got two bedrooms and is therefore regarded as more of a modest property.
Bodorgan Hall
While William worked as a search and rescue pilot in the RAF, the Prince and Princess of Wales lived in Bodorgan Hall. The beautiful accommodation was their home between 2010 and 2013 and boasted a private beach and views of Newborough Forest.
St Salvator's Hall, St Andrew's University
When the Princess of Wales was known as Kate Middleton and studying at university, she met her future husband. They came across each other as they were both living at the same student accommodation and their romance blossomed.
Kate was studying art history and William was studying geography. They went on to live together at another flat off-campus as their love continued to bloom.
