BBC Breakfast star sets record straight on show return as fans claim no rush
Nina Warhurst shares sweet clip of dad meeting new baby
Nina Warhurst has given fans an update on when they can expect her to return to TV.
Earlier this summer, Nina, 43, announced that she had given birth to her third child, Nance, with husband Ed Fraser.
The Mancunian only began her maternity leave from BBC Breakfast on in June but has now revealed we could see her back on our screens very soon.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, 2 November, Nina told her 25,900 followers: “So, back at work in a couple of months. She will be six months – same age as her brothers were when I went back.
“But they were pretty much weaned at that point, we’re talking like steak, eggs and chips at four months kind of fellas. I don’t think she will be.”

The mum-of-three continued to say that it would be “really nice” to continue feeding Nance but explained that her working hours typically coincide with “fuss to feed” times.
“So I will need a pump that is A – really efficient, B – portable because I go away a lot with work and C – just one that doesn’t cost a million pounds because they’re not exactly ‘try on the shop floor kind of products’ are they?” she offered.
She also went on to say that if a breast pump “doesn’t work out” for her, it doesn’t “bother” her at all that she will need to switch to feeding her daughter formula.
“Formula babies and formula mamas are just as magical, squidgy and beautiful as the booby sisterhood,” Nina explained.
In a further update, the presenter explained that she isn’t interested in people who are urging her to take time out with her newborn daughter.

“Also, while I’m here, quite a few people have said to me ‘Don’t rush back’ and I understand that the intentions are really good there, ‘Spend more time with your baby’,” the journalist said.
“But I mean firstly – some people want to go back [to work]. That’s up to them. It’s totally fine.
“And secondly, most people I know go back for financial reasons. And it’s brilliant for people who have that pot of money or their partner pays the mortgage to be able to extend it.
“But that’s not the case for me or most of my female friends actually who’ve had children.”
The candid confessions, posted via Nina’s Instagram stories, come just days after she celebrated her 43rd birthday.
Marking the day by uploading a picture of herself and Nance to social media, she wrote: “It’s my birthday. 43 bringing extra gratitude, a few extra lbs, and one extra (extra) midlife Dad-on-hols Hawaiian shirt.”
Fans flocked to the comments section to wish the BBC anchor well on her special day, while many said they “missed’ her appearing on the small screen.
“Happy birthday hope (sic) you’re back on breakfast TV soon,” wrote one Instagram user.
A second said: “Looking fab Nina … hope it’s been brilliant.”
Another commented: “Missing you on the box but enjoy every moment with that beautiful little one x.” (sic)
