I cleared Asda’s shelves of a £2.50 buy that was reduced to just 45p – I don’t care what people say, I’ll take the lot | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed that she cleared the shelves in Asda of a £2.50 buy that had been massively reduced.

Savvy shopper Brooke Davies was left stunned when shopping in Asda, when she noticed that cat food had been slashed down to just 45p a box.

Thrilled with her finds, Brooke cleared the shelves of the cheap treats – and has admitted that she doesn’t feel bad for taking the lot.

Brooke took to social media to show off her huge haul, as she shared a snap of her car boot, full of the reduced cat treats.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.3 million members, the Asda fan said: “Went into Asda as I needed cat munchies. I usually buy Asda own at £1 something a box.

“The shelf wasn’t priced except for one ticket at £2.50 at the right end of the shelf and it was new packaging.

“So yes I took the lot. And no I don’t feel bad.

The cat owner explained that she stocked up on the Asda Tiger munchies, complete with chicken, turkey and vegetables.

Saving a staggering £2.05 on each box, it’s no surprise that Brooke was chuffed with her purchases.

Brooke later confirmed that she has multiple cats, hence why she stocked up on so much cat food.

She also wrote: “I’ve given some to my sister. She has cats too.”

Brooke shared her post just 15 hours ago, but it has quickly amassed 328 likes and 109 comments.

Social media users were left stunned at Brooke’s bargains and were eager to express this in the comments.

One person said: “Good for you for getting a bargain.”

Another added: “Shocking the price difference. Good you managed to get a bargain with them.”

A third commented: “Good for you and yes if the shoe was on the other foot I would have taken them all. There are many other Asdas.”

Whilst someone else wrote: “Good for you I'd have cleared the shelf too!”

However, at the same time, someone else wrote: “Well done on the find, not much point in telling anyone else, as you've got them all.”
