Police are ramping up the search for a jogger who went missing after going for a run with his dog.<\/p>\n
Graham Connell, 64, disappeared on Monday afternoon after he went for a run at about 3.45pm with his sandy-coloured Goldendoodle dog at Woodlesford Locks in Leeds.<\/p>\n
He was reported missing on Monday evening when he failed to return home.<\/p>\n
Police found his abandoned car, a grey Mercedes GLE 400, on Bullough Lane near the entrance to the locks.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement officers, mountain rescue teams and a police helicopter are carrying out extensive searches, including the canal banks and nearby in the Woodlesford Locks area.<\/p>\n

Graham, from Morley, Leeds, is described as slim with greying hair, which is wavy on top.<\/p>\n
He was last seen wearing a royal blue drip-fit top, black leggings with shorts over the top and trainers.<\/p>\n
His usual running route takes him from Woodlesford Lock to the motorway bridge, along the canal and then back along the opposite back towards St Aiden\u2019s nature reserve.<\/p>\n
Detective Inspector John Graham of Leeds District CID said: \u201cWe are very concerned for Graham\u2019s welfare and since last night officers have been conducting extensive searches for him in the Woodlesford area.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was last seen leaving home at about 3.45pm for his usual run with his family\u2019s female Goldendoodle dog, but failed to return home.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is out of character for Graham to go missing and we are urgently appealing for information from anyone who saw him or has any information about his whereabouts.\u201d<\/p>\n
West Yorkshire Police would like to speak to anyone who saw Graham parking up his car on Bullough Lane late on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n
