As Christmas cards go, it’s certainly low-key.

And the Prime Minister may have taken a leaf out of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s festive photo book, posing for a black and white snap with his family on the front of this year’s official No10 Christmas card.

The simple snap shows Rishi Sunak with his arm around youngest daughter Anoushka, ten, while wife Akshata Murthy, 43, walks alongside eldest daughter Krishna, 12.

To add a touch of seasonal cheer to the photograph, a Santa hat has been drawn on Mr Sunak’s head while a Christmas tree can be seen on his wife’s. A yellow star has also been doodled on the photograph.

Reindeer antlers, a red nose and a carrot have also been drawn on the family dog, Nova, who is seen running off the lead ahead of the Sunak’s.

Footage on social media in March showed the Prime Minister and his family allowing their labrador retriever to roam free alongside the Serpentine lake.

A video focuses on a notice board saying ‘Dogs must be kept on leads’ before showing Mr Sunak and his wife Akshata Murthy putting the dog on a leash.

Police later said there would be no further action.

It is not known when or where this year’s Christmas photgraph is taken.
