A gatecrasher snuck into Chanel’s Metiers d’Art fashion show in Manchester this week by photoshopping the invite and ‘walking through with confidence’.

TikToker Sam Fletcher ended up sipping on warm mulled wine and nibbling on fancy hors d’oeuvres opposite Hugh Grant and Tilda Swinton, while rubbing shoulders with global fashionistas at the prestigious event.

He used the event’s hashtag to scour social media to find someone had posted a picture of the invite.

By using just a laptop and photoshop, Sam then made a ‘like-for-like’ carbon copy and brazenly snatched the orange graphic from Chanel’s own website for the back of the invite.

It did hit one snag as he didn’t know the size and ended up making it too small despite using a box of teabags for scale which was in the photo.

He even brazenly grabbed the orange graphic for the back of the invite from Chanel’s own website

He managed to get inside without security batting an eyelid despite not being able to get a pass.

In a clip which has been viewed more than 60,000 times on TikTok, Sam told how he managed to sneak inside.

‘We were then sent to get our passes made which was in a bar through a security scanner which we then realised our fake invites were about three-quarters the size they needed to be,’ he said in the one-minute and six-second video.

‘After deliberating and hovering around the entrance where celebs were pulling up in their blacked out cars, we decided our best chance of getting in was to puff our chests out and stick our brollies up and walk through with confidence.

‘Just like that we were in sipping mulled wine and nibbling on hors d’oeuvres.’

At one point Sam thought it was all about to come crashing down when he was asked where he was sat.
