{"id":135205,"date":"2023-12-08T15:08:37","date_gmt":"2023-12-08T15:08:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluemull.com\/?p=135205"},"modified":"2023-12-08T15:08:37","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T15:08:37","slug":"rowdy-female-theatregoers-at-the-choir-of-man-hold-up-show-for-an-hour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bluemull.com\/world-news\/rowdy-female-theatregoers-at-the-choir-of-man-hold-up-show-for-an-hour\/","title":{"rendered":"Rowdy female theatregoers at The Choir of Man hold up show for an hour"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span>EXCLUSIVE<\/span> Rowdy female theatregoers at The Choir of Man that is set in a pub where audience are encouraged to enjoy a drink hold up performance for an hour when angry cast walk off stage because they &#8216;were rude and abusive&#8217; to staff<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The West End musical was disrupted by two women sitting in the balcony\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Choir of Man audience is invited to consume alcohol from stage bar\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Two rowdy theatre goers were removed from a West End musical set in a pub where the audience are encouraged to drink before the show starts.<\/p>\n<p>The women were said to have been \u2018rude and abusive\u2019 to security staff and were asked to leave.<\/p>\n<p>When they refused the cast of the show \u2018The Choir of Man\u2019 walked off the stage at the London Arts Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>The hit musical was delayed for an hour until the women sitting in the balcony finally left to loud jeers from others in the audience.<\/p>\n<p>A theatregoer told MailOnline: \u2018I don\u2019t know what had occurred, but after the first song the lights came back on and the cast all left the stage.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/08\/14\/78738297-12841923-image-a-71_1702044498175.jpg\" height=\"845\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Two &#8216;rude&#8217; women delayed a performance of The Choir of Man after they were &#8216;rude and abusive&#8217; towards staff at London Arts Theatre<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/08\/14\/78738285-12841923-image-a-72_1702044510605.jpg\" height=\"442\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Audiences as the Choir of Man are invited to enjoy a drink at the bar that forms the backdrop of the show prior to the show and can drink alcohol during the performance<\/p>\n<p>\u2018There were security guards standing by the women who were refusing to leave their seats. We later heard they had too much to drink and were rude to staff.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the start of the musical the audience are invited to walk on to the stage and buy a drink at the bar that forms the backdrop of the show.<\/p>\n<h3>READ MORE: Hamilton musical ends in violence: Police launch probe after brawl breaks out at show leaving audience members injured<\/h3>\n<p>Theatregoers can also drink alcohol during the performance served from the stage bar with the show featuring songs by Katy Perry, Guns and Roses and Adele.<\/p>\n<p>The show, which was nominated for an Oliver award in 2022, has won rave reviews and been described as the \u2018happiest of the happy hour\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>It tells the story of a group of men who bond over a beer in a traditional pub called \u2018The Jungle\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Thursday evening performance had just begun when the lights in the theatre were switched back on.<\/p>\n<p>An announcement was made by management that due to \u2018circumstances beyond our control\u2019 the show would be paused.<\/p>\n<p>Four security guards stood over the women as they refused to comply with the theatre manager\u2019s request to leave.<\/p>\n<p>One theatre goer said:\u2019 When it became obvious that the women would not agree to leave an off-duty police officer went to speak to them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/08\/14\/78738287-12841923-image-a-73_1702044515386.jpg\" height=\"333\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>But minutes into the show, the cast left the stage, the lights came back on and patrons were told that the performance would be paused due to &#8216;circumstances beyond our control&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>\u2018He showed his warrant card, but they did not listen and did not move.
