Fred Siriex may have put on a cool display as he was the third campmate to say goodbye to I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Here!, but show presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have revealed that all wasn't so calm behind the scenes.

The Geordie duo, both 48, took to their Instagram page to give followers a livestream debrief after the show had aired, as they often do, and shared that French star Fred was 'riled up'.

Reflecting on the eviction, Dec said: "I think he wasn't happy to go," as his co-host agreed: "Yeah, he seemed a little bit riled up didn't he?"

According to The Sun, Dec continued to speculate that Fred wasn't ready to go, adding: "I think he would have quite happily stayed in there. I think because he loves it".

A viewer comment then read "Fred seemed raging", with Dec clearing up: "I don't know about raging but I think he was disappointed to go."

Prior to leaving camp, Fred was under fire from fans who dubbed him 'mean' for comments he made to campmate Sam Thompson.

As the camp was tasked with choosing two people to face a BushTucker trial, a number of the stars expressed interest in taking part – including Sam, Marvin Humes, and Tony Bellew – who suggested that a camp vote was had.

Fred then turned around and said to Sam: "Don't worry, I'm going. You can carry on playing with your toys, we'll do the men's stuff. I'm going with Marvin, I've already decided."

Watching from home, many fans noticed that Sam looked 'deflated' after Fred's seemingly condescending comments as they rallied for the Made In Chelsea star.

While Fred had also ruffled some feathers in camp, including Josie Gibson's, after giving her a myriad of unsolicited cooking advice when she took over the role of camp chef from him.

Looking back after leaving camp, Fred admitted that he should have given Josie more space to cook than he did – after his comments were dubbed as sexist by some fans.

"I am not sexist. I am not mean. I did not see it like that. For example, when Nick started to cook, we had many of conversations before. So, Josie said she does not cook at all, she likes to go to restaurants with her son, she said ‘I never cook'. When I was telling her about cooking for tomorrow she was not interested," he said.

"I should have just sat back, at the end of the day she was the chef that is what I should have done. I was a little worried for all of us because I was like, what have we got tomorrow?
