I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestants Nigel Farage and Fred Sirieix have butted heads again in a fresh row. Their latest spat comes after the former politician claimed the “greed” of Europe was to blame for overfishing in the world’s oceans.

On Sunday’s episode of the ITV competition, Josie Gibson cooked up a pot of eels and rice for her fellow campmates. Nigel, 59, discussed the dish and said: “I wonder how many people at home have had eel risotto for breakfast.”

He continued: “From an environmental perspective, the way we’re fishing some of the oceans is not very clever.” Retired boxer Tony Bellew replied: “We’re destroying the oceans.”

The former UKIP and Brexit Party leader explained to his fellow celebrity campmates that he previously spoke about the issue in parliament. In response, 51-year-old Fred quipped: “I’m sure you did.”

Getting into another argument with the maître d’hôtel, Nigel attempted to explain that overfishing was down to the European Union. “(It’s) a combination of European greed,” he began, before being cut off.

Fred tells Nigel Farage ‘you destroyed the economy’

“It’s not just European greed,” said Fred. “You’ve got to stop saying that because it’s the world who is overfishing.”

“You’ve got to stop saying European greed in all of this. This is just not right, Nigel,” he added. The GB News presenter attempted to fight his corner, before the Channel 4 star said: “You’re fixated on this and you keep on with this narrative.”

Choosing to vent his frustration away from Nigel, Fred said in the Bush Telegraph: “He never answers the questions. But do you know why? Because he’s talking b******s.” Unfortunately, this is not the first time that the pair have clashed.

Earlier on in the ITV series, Fred claimed the 59-year-old was “shameful” for his 2016 Brexit campaign. The pair were also embroiled in a row when the former accused Nigel of “destroying the economy”.
