Pro-Palestine activists have sparked outrage after 20 demonstrators stormed a hotel where loved ones of Israeli victims and hostages were staying in Melbourne’s CBD.

The activists, armed with flags and signs with anti-Israel messages, had tracked the Israeli supporters to their hotel in Docklands on Wednesday at about 10pm.

The Israeli group had been speaking about their experiences earlier in the evening at the Mount Scopus Memorial College.

When they returned to their hotel they were met with the ‘frightening’ protesters, many holding Palestinian flags.

The group had also thrown baby dolls covered in fake blood on the floor and held up a banner reading ‘Stop arming Israel, free Palestine’.

‘The idiot protesters here launched a nasty, noisy, threatening protest,’ he said.

‘Threatening, frightening, intimidating. The families had to be evacuated from a Melbourne hotel.

‘These idiots were targeting victims!’

One of the Palestinian activists was heard shouting over a loud speaker as several Victorian police officers waited on a nearby escalator.

‘You’re really f**ked up!’ she shouted.

‘This is a really f**ked up situation.

‘Give them a place to eat and fuel their economy! Shame! Shame!’

A police spokesperson said the protesters were moved on by officers, and added no one was injured during the incident.

The Israelis had earlier this week met with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penelope Wong, along with members of Jewish communities in Melbourne and Sydney.
