As the cold rainy days approach, Ugg boots become the footwear of choice to stay cosy and warm after a surge in popularity in recent years.

However, these weather conditions can have a negative impact on your favourite footwear.

Given the significant investment of approximately £185 for the classic short boots, maintaining their pristine appearance is crucial.

Phoebe Waites, a resident of Plymouth, shared her cost-effective hack on the Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook group, revealing her Uggs were left looking virtually new.

The before and after images provided by Phoebe demonstrate remarkable results, assuring fellow users that no digital alterations were made.

Phoebe wrote in the post: “From seeing the posts about cleaning Ugg boots, I thought I would attempt to bring mine back to life. I am so happy with the result!”

She detailed her process, beginning by stuffing each boot with newspaper to “reshape” them.

The poster then sprayed the entire exterior of the boots with a white vinegar spray.

Using a brush, she delicately brushed the suede “all over,” advising fellow Ugg owners to use “strokes and light circles” during the process.

Phoebe then used a damp cloth to blot the suede thoroughly, eliminating any excess dirt and vinegar, and then left the boots under a radiator to dry.

Once dried, a final brushing of the suede completes the process, for which she used the Stardrops White Vinegar Spray, available for as little as 79p at B&M.

Phoebe attested: “They’re super soft again and have held the shape like they’re new again!”

People promptly shared their appreciation to Phoebe for divulging her hack, according to the Mirror.

One online user remarked: “Definitely doing this,” while another commenter exclaimed: “What kind of sorcery is this?!”
