{"id":133917,"date":"2023-11-16T02:15:43","date_gmt":"2023-11-16T02:15:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluemull.com\/?p=133917"},"modified":"2023-11-16T02:15:43","modified_gmt":"2023-11-16T02:15:43","slug":"britains-worst-football-team-with-midfielder-73-conceded-200-goals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bluemull.com\/world-news\/britains-worst-football-team-with-midfielder-73-conceded-200-goals\/","title":{"rendered":"Britain&apos;s worst football team with midfielder, 73, conceded 200 goals"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>We&#8217;ve been crowned Britain&#8217;s worst football team: Our midfielder is 73, our winger has &#8216;legs like Bambi&#8217; and we conceded 200 goals in a season &#8211; but despite the knockbacks we return every week<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cwm Albion FC in the Swansea Senior League lost all 22 of their games last year<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Team includes goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald with no clean sheets in ten years\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the worst football team in Britain, conceding 200 goals last season with a goalkeeper who has not kept a clean sheet for a decade and a pensioner in midfield.<\/p>\n<p>Cwm Albion FC in the Swansea Senior League have a 100-year-old history\u00a0but have fallen on hard times, getting a battering each week.<\/p>\n<p>The club lost all 22 of their games last year &#8211; and had a mammoth minus 191 goal difference, conceding 200 goals.<\/p>\n<p>The team includes goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald, who has never had a clean sheet in his ten years with the club, and veteran midfielder John Rees who is still playing aged 73.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/07\/77594237-12728741-image-a-4_1699515199413.jpg\" height=\"357\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Cwm Albion FC in the Swansea Senior League have been getting a battering each week<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/07\/77594235-12728741-image-a-5_1699515209046.jpg\" height=\"794\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Dan Gill, 32, manager and centre midfielder, has been with the club since the age of 16<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/07\/77594243-12728741-image-a-6_1699515212132.jpg\" height=\"357\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The club lost all 22 of their games last year &#8211; and had a mammoth minus 191 goal difference<\/p>\n<p>The side, who play in the Swansea Senior League, have now been crowned Britain&#8217;s &#8216;Best Worst Team&#8217; in a competition by Specsavers.<\/p>\n<p>But despite their bleak results, manager Dan Gill, said his players were fully committed to the team.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8216;Despite the knock backs, each week we turn up and put our hearts into every game, no matter the scoreline &#8211; and we lost 10-0 the other day, so that says a lot.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;ve been involved with the club since I was 16 and my dad, Colin, has been part of Cwm Albion for more than 50 years. We really are a family.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/07\/77594245-12728741-image-a-7_1699515218949.jpg\" height=\"416\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The team in Swansea features a goalkeeper who has not kept a clean sheet for a decade<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/07\/77594239-12728741-image-a-9_1699515228498.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The side have now been crowned Britain&#8217;s &#8216;Best Worst Team&#8217; in a competition by Specsavers<\/p>\n<p>Other players in the team include winger Shane Prior, who says he has &#8216;legs like Bambi&#8217;, and holding midfielder Paul DiMarco, who will &#8216;have a nose bleed&#8217;
