It costs just 3p to run as it uses 100W of energy an hour.

The heated throw, which measures at 120cm wide and 160cm long, comes with nine heat settings and a three-year guarantee.

Not only that, but it will turn itself off if left alone for two hours, meaning it's ideal if you want to put it over yourself before bedtime.

It does come with a warning not to fold it up when in use and is not recommended for children three or under.

This means they can be a great alternative to putting the heating on as they're much cheaper to run.

Recent figures from CheckaTrade show that the average cost of running your heating per hour is 7p per kilowatt-hour.

This means that if you have a 24 kW boiler, it might cost you £1.68 an hour.

It means that if you have your heating on overnight for eight hours, it could cost you £13.44.

While Lidl's heated blanket costs just 24p to run for eight hours.

The blanket is machine washable too to make for easy cleaning and is made of faux fur.

Shoppers are full of praise for the energy-saving gadget online.

One customer said: "Best thing I ever bought."

While another wrote: "These are amazing!
