The Apprentice: Harpreet wins the 2022 series<\/h3>\n

Harpreet Kaur has revealed that contestants on BBC’s The Apprentice are “completely cut off” from the outside world and are only allowed “one 10 minute call a week.”<\/p>\n

The desserts business owner, who bagged herself a \u00a3250,000 investment from Lord Sugar in the 2022 series, spoke exclusively with Express.co.uk about moving her company in a new direction.<\/p>\n

She also revealed what truly goes on behind the scenes on the BBC show, saying that the candidates go through “tough situations” off camera.<\/p>\n

“We were completely cut off, which I think adds to the pressure,” she recalled.<\/p>\n

“In real life, you go through tough situations, but you have a support network around you to get you through them.<\/p>\n

“You are literally thrown into the deep end with 15 other candidates all competing for the same prize and can’t talk to anybody – can’t Google anything.<\/p>\n

“You get one phone call a week.”<\/p>\n

Harpreet said that she is very family-orientated, so she found being away from home very challenging.<\/p>\n

“For me it was emotional.I was really missing my family and my sister.”<\/p>\n

After winning the 2022 series, Harpreet started dating her series co-star Akshay Thakrar and the pair are now engaged.<\/p>\n
