<\/p>\nFormer X Factor judge L.A. Reid has been sued for sexual assault, as an ex-colleague has accused him of attacking \u201cher on a private jet.\u201d<\/p>\n
A lawsuit against the music guru was filed on Wednesday, 8 November, at the Federal District Court in Manhattan.<\/p>\n
L.A has worked with many music stars throughout his career, and he worked on The X Factor for the first two series back in 2011.<\/p>\n
One of his former colleagues, Drew Dixon, has reportedly filed a lawsuit, saying that she was sexually assaulted twice back in 2001.<\/p>\n
Drew has claimed she was promised a successful career in music by L.A, but that changed when she rejected his sexual advances, The Guardian reports.<\/p>\n

Drew has sued Reid for an unspecified compensatory amount, as well as punitive damages.<\/p>\n
According to The Sun, part of the lawsuit reads: \u201cThis litigation is not only about the horrific physical assaults that Ms. Dixon had to endure but it is also about the irreparable damage done to the rare and blossoming career of an extraordinary talent.\u201d<\/p>\n
Drew has said that L.A started harassing her not long after he arrived at Arista in 2000.<\/p>\n
She has then accused him of sexual assaulting her in 2001, when they were on a private plane with executives flying to a Puerto Rico retreat, claiming he played with her hair before allegedly kissing her and penetrating her without consent.<\/p>\n

Drew alledged a second sexual assault happened months later, during a journey home after an event in New York. She claims that L.A groped, kissed and penetrated her without consent.<\/p>\n
She added L.A became \u201chostile\u201d because she resisted his demands including meeting late at night in his hotel and wearing skirts instead of jeans.<\/p>\n
As a result of her rejecting him, Drew claims she had her budgets cut, and her artists were rejected.<\/p>\n

In 2002, she left the industry and attended Harvard Business School. In 2017, Drew publicly accused L.A of misconduct, just seven months after he left his position as Epic Records chief, where he was also accused of improper behaviour.<\/p>\n
At the time, L.A responded to the claims in an interview with the New York Times saying: \u201cI\u2019m proud of my track record promoting, supporting and uplifting women at every company I\u2019ve ever run."<\/p>\n
