Hundreds of pro-Palestine protestors descended on President Biden’s Delaware mansion to demonstrate against US support for Israel in the conflict in the Middle East.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Footage from outside the sprawling Wilmington property saw dozens of Palestine flags flying alongside signs accusing the White House of facilitating genocide in Gaza.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Biden, Biden, you can’t hide! We charge you with genocide!’ the crowd chanted, as well as: ‘In November we will remember.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
The protest erupted while Biden was delivering a speech at nearby Arlington National Cemetery to celebrate Veterans Day, where he suffered another public gaffe\u00a0as he struggled to find his place on the stage.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Amid furious calls for a ceasefire in protests springing up across the US, Biden declared in his speech at Arlington National Ceremony that war and death are ‘part of our American story’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After the laying of a ceremonial wreath, Biden appeared to need stage directions from a military officer as he took steps in the wrong direction\u00a0<\/p>\n
The protestors stormed the area outside Biden’s property from Saturday morning to demand a ceasefire in Gaza, which has seen over 11,000 deaths in retaliatory strikes from Israel.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Among the speakers at Biden’s home was left-wing activist Linda Sarsour, who sparked backlash in 2017 after urging Muslims\u00a0to wage ‘holy war’ against the Trump administration and used the term ‘jihad’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lines of protestors were seen marching towards Biden’s home, which paused outside as speakers called for action to halt escalation of the Israel-Hamas war.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The demands come as Biden’s administration negotiated daily four-hour pauses in the northern Gaza Strip this week, intended to allow people to evacuate and humanitarian aid to flow in.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Despite the small win announced on Thursday, raucous protests are continuing to spring up across America.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In New York City, hundreds of high schoolers and teachers walked out of class on Thursday to protest the bombings in Gaza as the Big Apple has seen several protests turn violent in recent weeks.<\/p>\n
Thursday’s demonstrations in New York also saw activists storm the New York Times building to criticize its coverage of the war in Israel, as NYPD cars outside the building were covered in graffiti reading ‘Free Gaza’ and ‘IDF KKK’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Demonstrators took over the lobby of the newspaper building, holding up Palestinian flags and a sign that said ‘Ceasefire now.’ They read off names of those killed in Gaza from a paper called ‘The New York Crimes.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tens of thousands also flocked to Washington DC last week in one of the largest protests over the Middle East crisis in the US since the Hamas attacks on October 7.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Several historical landmarks including a memorial in Lafayette Square were defaced with headscarves and graffiti reading ‘F*** Biden.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
Anti-Semitic graffiti reading ‘death to Israel’ and ‘Glory to our martyrs’ was also sprayed on buildings in DC ahead of the march.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As the latest protest continues at Biden’s Delaware home, reports indicate the president is set to return to the property rather than the White House after he attended a Veterans Day service at Arlington National Cemetary.<\/p>\n
The 80-year-old appeared to suffer an embarrassing moment of confusion in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and looked to take stage directions from an Arlington Honor Guard to find his place next to Vice President Kamala Harris.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He took several steps in the wrong direction before returning to a ceremonial wreath.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Biden then delivered a speech on the ‘ultimate sacrifice’ of American troops, acknowledging escalating global tensions as he praised how ‘Americans stand watch around the world, often with great personal peril.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘War and conflict, death and loss, are not relics of our American history – they\u2019re part of our American story.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
Speaking before members of the Armed Forces and Gold Star families, Biden continued: ‘Here in Arlington lie heroes who gave what President Lincoln called \u2018the last full measure of devotion.’<\/p>\n
‘They did not only die at Gettysburg or in Flanders Field on the beaches of Normandy, but in the mountains of Afghanistan, the deserts of Iraq in the last 20 years.<\/p>\n
‘Hundreds of graves are here from recent conflicts. Hundreds of patriots gave their all, each of them leaving behind a family who live with their pain and their absence every single day.’<\/p>\n
He added that veterans are the ‘steel spine of this nation’, and recounted famous battles that saw soldiers ‘linked in a chain of honor that stretches back to our founding days.’<\/p>\n
‘Each one bound by a sacred oath to support and defend. Not a place, not a person, not a president, but an idea, to defend an idea unlike any other in human history,’ he said.<\/p>\n
‘That idea is the United States of America.’<\/p>\n

Biden, 80, paid his respects to fallen soldiers at the service, where he said that ‘war and conflict, death and loss, are not relics of our American history – they\u2019re part of American story’<\/p>\n

The President acknowledged escalating global tensions in his speech, adding: ‘Americans stand watch around the world, often with great personal peril’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Saturday’s\u00a0service was the 70th annual National Veterans Day Observance at Arlington National Cemetary\u00a0<\/p>\n
Biden revealed a card from his jacket that he said he has carried with him since he was vice-president, which has an updated number of US soldiers who have died in recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
‘Today, that number is 7,036,’ he said. ‘7,036 fallen angels who have lost their lives in these conflicts.<\/p>\n
‘This Memorial Day, we honor their legacy and their sacrifice, duty, honor to their country.’<\/p>\n
Saturday’s service was the 70th annual National Veterans Day Observance at Arlington, and was also attended by Harris, First Lady Jill Biden, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.\u00a0<\/p>\n
