Ruby Barker, who portrayed Marina Thompson on Bridgerton, claims Netflix and Shondaland not only offered "no support" or "aftercare" for her, but they tried to keep it "on the down-low because the show was going to be coming out."<\/h2>\n

Ruby Barker is speaking out after what she describes as a lack of support from both Netflix<\/strong> and Shondaland<\/strong> after she suffered two psychotic breaks. The Bridgerton<\/strong><\/em> star says the first happened just one week after filming wrapped in 2019, with the second coming in 2022.<\/p>\n

In particular, she told Oxford University’s LOAF Podcast<\/strong><\/em> over the weekend that while she was hospitalized after the first one, she felt her mental health crisis “was really covered up and kept on the down-low because the show was going to be coming out.”<\/p>\n

While filming was finished in 2019, Bridgerton<\/em> premiered in December 2020. Barker was a regular cast member in the first season and a guest star in the second.<\/p>\n
