THE Repair Shop's Julyan Wallis has confirmed his hiatus from the beloved BBC show and paid an emotional tribute to his co-stars in a social media post.<\/p>\n

Julyan revealed that filming for the upcoming series and Christmas special has already 'wrapped up'.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

Julyan took to his Instagram and posted a picture of The Repair Shop cast busy on set as they concluded filming for the latest episodes.<\/p>\n

The gang, including the experts and crew, stood outside of the iconic barn, with smiles all round as they stood in unison.<\/p>\n

The guitar expert captioned the post: "And just like that. Boom!!!<\/p>\n

"Series 9, that's a wrap. Great times with brilliant people as ever.<\/p>\n

In the comments section, Julyan's co-stars replied to his post as upholstery expert Sonnaz Nooranvary wrote: "What a great photo."<\/p>\n

Hat expert Jayesh Vaghela said: "Missing all of you great people!!!"<\/p>\n

Show fans also reacted to the post as they praised Julyan and his co-stars for "lifting their spirits" as one person commented: "Will miss all of you. I so enjoyed watching all the lovely repairs that are done. Until next time x."\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another typed: "With so many terrible things going on in the world, sometimes only an RS episode can lift my spirits! You all deserve the time away, but we will miss you!"<\/p>\n

A third shared: "Well done, we love the repair shop, thank you to you all. It was great to chat to you when we visited in June also, the Teddy bear ladies came to chat. They were inspirational! Keep doing what you do best, all thank you."<\/p>\n

Julyan specialises in repairing guitars, and recently, he shared his devastation over one restoration on the show.<\/p>\n

A guest called Alex brought in his half-broken guitar, which almost became impossible to repair as he had hoped Julyan could restore it to its natural state.<\/p>\n

Faced with the repair, Julyan told the cameras: "I saw myself in Alex because when I was that age, I had that passion of learning to play guitar and wanted to be a rock star and all those things.<\/p>\n

"I would have been absolutely gutted… beside myself if this happened to one of my guitars. Wow, what a state."<\/p>\n

Luckily for Alex, the expert worked his magic and fully restored the broken guitar, which delighted him.<\/p>\n

In a separate post on Instagram, Julyan posted a photo from inside the barn with other Repair Shop experts, including Becky Houghton, David Burville, Lucia Scalisi and Kirsten Ramsay.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He penned: "A couple of pics from this week so far @therepairshoptv it's our last weeks filming this year! #repairshopfamily #filming." n (sic)<\/p>\n

His followers expressed their gratitude towards the show as one said: "Having the Repair Shop on TV alone is worth the TV licence. The Repair Shop is a special TV show.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"It brings life, emotions, reality and talented, skilled people together. The current format of the show has developed over the series and is now finely tuned to be the best.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"Good luck to all involved in front of the camera and behind. May the show continue for a very long time."<\/p>\n

A second added: "Looking forward to seeing this! Thanks so much for fixing Martin's guitar.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"Top job! He's chuffed to bits with it."<\/p>\n
