Jean Johansson has revealed that her dream is to present ITV’s This Morning, as she admitted: “I’ve been really honest about my ambitions to get on the sofa one day.”

Earlier this year, Jean, 41, landed a slot on This Morning presenting the competition segment – a position, she reveals, was secured by banging on the doors of ITV’s bosses.

Now, following Holly Willoughby’s sensational exit from the ITV programme last week, the A Place in the Sun star has set her sights on the vacant presenting role.

“I’m now the proud competition host. I just knew it was meant to be. My first competition was in my home area of Inverclyde. It was a really special moment,” she told OK! magazine.

“I’ve been really honest about my ambitions to get on the sofa one day and I’m one step closer. Everyone has been supportive and that’s not always the case in TV.
