DEAR DEIDRE: IF friend-zoning were an Olympic sport, I\u2019d win a gold medal every time.<\/p>\n

For some reason, all the single women I go on dates with decide \u00a0they just want to be my mate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a 26-year-old guy. I\u2019m not bad looking, I have a decent job and my friends tell me I\u2019ve got a nice personality and a good sense of humour.<\/p>\n

So why do women end our first date with, \u201cI enjoyed our time together\u2009.\u2009.\u2009.\u2009but I don\u2019t feel a romantic connection?\u201d<\/p>\n

I offer to pay, I have \u00a0good table manners, I ask questions and look interested.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t believe I smell.<\/p>\n

When I go on a date, my intention is to find romance. I don\u2019t date to make friends \u2013 I already have plenty of those.<\/p>\n

The best relationships usually start as friendships.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing wrong with you. Internet dating \u00a0has made women and men ultra-choosy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
