A WOMAN with extra long locks has explained her method for eradicating split ends without having to go to the hairdressers.<\/p>\n

The social media influencer \u2013 dubbed the Aussie Rapunzel \u2013 said she didn\u2019t want to sacrifice her long tresses by having it cut.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

So instead she came up with her own clever method, which she called \u201csearch and destroy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Therefore, she said her hair could remain long and strong \u2013 just like the famous fairytale character.<\/p>\n

In a video, the Aussie Rapunzel said: \u201cHere\u2019s how to get rid of your split ends but still keep your hair long and healthy \u2013 I\u2019m going to show you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The clip, posted to her TikTok account @theaussierapunzel, then demonstrated exactly how it\u2019s done.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The blonde influencer explained: \u201cThis is called the search and destroy method.<\/p>\n

\u201cPut your hair in a loose plait and then you\u2019ll see all your little ends sticking out.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis makes it really easy to see any split ends that you have and then you can just chop them off.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Aussie Rapunzel then did exactly that as she showed how her hair was now free of the pesky dry ends.<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cI do this once every couple of months and it helps keep my hair healthy without compromising on the length of my hair.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then once it\u2019s done, just take your hair out of the braid and that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

And it didn\u2019t take long for her 1.4 million followers to flock to the comment section to say they\u2019d be giving it a go themselves.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While some said they were sceptical and that it simply shortens the split ends, others were ultimately won over.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how to get rid of your split ends but still keep your hair long and healthy<\/p>\n

One TikTok fan wrote: \u201cSo smart.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a second social media typed: \u201cI\u2019m going to do this!\u201d<\/p>\n

A third then said: \u201c100% using this.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

And a fourth chimed in: \u201cI do the same to keep my length\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
