Victoria Pendleton has spoken out about her decision to take part in the new Channel 4 show Don\u2019t Look Down in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The show will follow a group of celebrities as they conquer their fear of heights to face a high-wire walk suspended 300 feet above one of London\u2019s most iconic landmarks.<\/p>\n

Victoria, whose twin brother Alex died following a brain tumour in June, has told OK!: \u201cFor me, having experienced my brother and terminal cancer, nothing seems scary.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving a loved one with terminal cancer pass away is far harder then any challenge I could do \u2013 worse than any hike or bungee.<\/p>\n

“Overcoming any fear is far insignificant in comparison.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in June, the 43-year-old Olympic cyclist paid tribute to her twin brother Alex in an emotional Instagram post.<\/p>\n

Sharing an image of the pair of them together she wrote in view of her 72,000 followers: \u201cIf you know me then you likely know my twin brother Alex, I just wanted to let you know that this morning Alex sadly passed away after an epic battle against an aggressive brain tumour.<\/p>\n

“He will be painfully missed by many. Rest in peace my kind, brave twinnie, you will forever be in our hearts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alex fought leukaemia as a child, but his cancer returned after a lengthy remission.<\/p>\n

Victoria previously spoke out about how her brother\u2019s cancer battle inspired her when took part in Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.<\/p>\n

Other celebrities taking part in Don\u2019t Look Down which will be hosted by Patrick McGuiness include Corrie star Beverley Callard, Anton Ferdinand, Kimberly Wyatt, Chris Hughes, David Ginola, Charley Boorman, Fats Timbo and TikTok star GK Barry.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t Look Down will be shown on Channel 4 on Tuesday, 10 October at 9:30 PM.<\/em><\/p>\n
