A WOMAN'S body has tragically been found in a canal.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the canal near Brimscombe, Stroud, at 10.45am on Sunday, September 24.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The remains were spotted by a member of the public.<\/p>\n

Gloucestershire Police said they are now probing the death of the woman, aged in her 50s.<\/p>\n

The death is not being treated as suspicious and her next of kin have been notified. <\/p>\n

In a statement, Gloucestershire Police said: \u201cAt around 10.45am on Sunday (24 September) we were called to the canal near Brimscombe after a member of public saw a body in the water. <\/p>\n

"Emergency services attended and a woman aged in her 50s was removed from the canal.<\/p>\n
