{"id":130483,"date":"2023-09-19T14:27:52","date_gmt":"2023-09-19T14:27:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluemull.com\/?p=130483"},"modified":"2023-09-19T14:27:52","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T14:27:52","slug":"aldi-launches-first-ever-pizza-delivery-service-for-new-dominos-inspired-range","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bluemull.com\/lifestyle\/aldi-launches-first-ever-pizza-delivery-service-for-new-dominos-inspired-range\/","title":{"rendered":"Aldi launches first ever pizza delivery service for new Dominos inspired range"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When it comes to ordering a takeaway, pizza is often a popular choice in British households.<\/p>\n<p>Cheesy, oozy and delicious \u2013 it&apos;s hard to turn down the tempting treat.<\/p>\n<p>Now you may be able to get your food order on a budget, as Aldi is offering its newly dubbed &quot;Ultimate Takeaway Pizzas&quot; in Manchester, Cardiff and Edinburgh.<\/p>\n<p><b>READ MORE:<\/b><b> &apos;I met the world&apos;s biggest Pizza Express fans in Woking \u2013 it was fit for a prince&apos;<\/b><\/p>\n<p>As the Pizza Retailer of the Year, the supermarket has announced it\u2019s about to start its first ever pizza delivery service across three cities on Tuesday, October 3 \u2013 and it&apos;ll serve up some super tasty offerings. <\/p>\n<p>Even though the pizzas have been inspired by Domino&apos;s, they&apos;re up to 83% cheaper, coming in at just \u00a33.99 each.<\/p>\n<p> With a medium Meateor pizza from Domino\u2019s currently setting shoppers back \u00a320.99, plus a \u00a32.50 delivery fee, the service can save pizza lovers more than \u00a319 per pizza delivered. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/incoming\/article30967987.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_4eddb8891d8114fda98e6c1_UltimateTakeawayTexasStyleBBQChicken.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p> Launching in three key student locations across the UK &#8211; Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff &#8211; the release will coincide with Fresher\u2019s Week.<\/p>\n<p>Pizza fans within selected postcodes will be able to pre-book their delivery timeslot via the dedicated website from Monday, September 18.<\/p>\n<p> Within the brand-new Ultimate Takeaway range are three Domino\u2019s inspired flavours.<\/p>\n<p>These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> The Meaty One (524g) (inspired by Meateor) &#8211; a sizzling sausage and meatball feast<\/li>\n<li> The Banger (462g) (inspired by Absolute Banger) &#8211; a smoky hotdog delight with a spicy kick<\/li>\n<li>The Texas Style BBQ Chicken &amp; Bacon (502g) (inspired by Texas BBQ) &#8211; boasting tangy BBQ sauce, succulent chicken and smoky bacon (each \u00a33.99, 8 slices)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> The delivery service will allow customers to select up to two of these delicious new flavours to be delivered hot to their door. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/incoming\/article30967983.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_image001.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>The range, which is Aldi\u2019s most Domino\u2019s-like pizza offering yet, is launching in stores nationwide from October 9, meaning those who don\u2019t manage to bag a delivery slot can also get a pizza the action.<\/p>\n<p> Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi UK, said: &quot;With prices of takeaways soaring, we\u2019re excited to be able to offer shoppers delicious pizzas at a fraction of the price of expensive high-street chains. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;The quality ingredients and affordable price of the Ultimate Takeaway range will no doubt change people\u2019s idea of the supermarket pizza. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;Better yet, we\u2019re thrilled to be able to deliver this product hot to shoppers\u2019 doors and truly treat our customers to the full takeaway experience.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Want all the biggest Lifestyle news straight to your inbox?
