{"id":129751,"date":"2023-09-07T17:10:26","date_gmt":"2023-09-07T17:10:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluemull.com\/?p=129751"},"modified":"2023-09-07T17:10:26","modified_gmt":"2023-09-07T17:10:26","slug":"police-respond-to-a-mass-killing-but-interrupt-yoga-class","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bluemull.com\/world-news\/police-respond-to-a-mass-killing-but-interrupt-yoga-class\/","title":{"rendered":"Police respond to a &apos;mass killing&apos;&#8230;but interrupt yoga class"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Police respond to reports of a &#8216;mass killing&#8217;&#8230;but interrupt yoga class after a worried member of the public saw several people lying on the floor and raised the alarm<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A member of the public reported a &#8216;mass killing&#8217; after seeing people on the floor<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Police attended the scene in Chapel St Leonards to discover a yoga class\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A yoga class was interrupted by police after a worried member of the public saw several people lying on the floor and mistook the scene for a &#8216;mass killing&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Those taking part in a peaceful yoga session at the Seascape Cafe, inside the North Sea Observatory in Chapel St Leonards, Lincolnshire, got more than they bargained for when officers turned up on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the 8:56pm call from a member of the public had been made with &#8216;good intentions&#8217; but noted that everyone was &#8216;safe and well&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sharing details of what happened on their Facebook\u00a0page, the cafe said someone had &#8216;reported a mass killing&#8217; after seeing people on the floor inside the building.<\/p>\n<p>They wrote: &#8216;If anyone heard the mass of police sirens in Chapel St Leonards at 9.30pm last night then please be reassured\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/07\/16\/75176743-12491971-image-a-22_1694102008965.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>A member of the public called the police after seeing people lying on the floor in a yoga class<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/07\/13\/wire-75166955-1694091418-266_634x423.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Police were called to a yoga class at the Seascape Caf\u00e9 in Chapel St Leonards following reports of a &#8216;mass killing&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;They were on their way to the Observatory after someone had reported a mass killing in our building, having seen several people laying on the floor\u2026 which actually turned out to be the yoga class in meditation,&#8217; the cafe said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Thank you to Lincolnshire Police for their prompt response.
