Raise your hand if you’ve ever been personally victimized by your kid’s stuff all over the house. Even a baby’s items seem to take over, with their swings, bassinets, play yards, bouncers, changing tables, and more. And when they get older, their stuff seems to just multiply. If you’ve ever waded through a sea of toys in your living room or stepped on a Lego in the middle of the night (!), then I’m happy to report: you are not alone. In fact, even Property Brothers star Drew Scott lives in a home filled with things for his 16-month-old son Parker.

The HGTV star shared a new video on Instagram set to “August” by Taylor Swift. “Summer fun = pool, friends and … Taylor Swift 😎🙌,” he captioned the post. In the cute clip, he walks through the front door, goes through the house, ditches his stuff in the kitchen, takes off his shirt, and jumps in his backyard swimming pool to join wife Linda Phan and their toddler, without missing a beat. The video is funny (and impressive!), but we couldn’t help but notice the glimpse of his house, and it’s really validating.

After Scott walks in the front door, we immediately spot a stroller in the den right off the main entrance. It’s filled with supplies, ready to buckle Parker in and go for a spontaneous family walk. (Because everyone knows it’s too much work to actually store your stroller in the garage!) There are also stairs at the front entrance, with a baby gate to keep Parker from exploring on his own.

A post shared by Drew Scott (@mrdrewscott)

When Scott passes through another door, we see a wall of built-in bookshelves — some of which have toys stored in them — and a cute little toddler-sized table and chairs. He then runs through the kitchen so fast we couldn’t spot any baby items, but when he gets to the backyard, a huge fence goes around the entire pool. Again, super smart idea if you have kids!

Even though his house wasn’t messy (jealous!), it was still overrun by things for his son, which makes me feel so much better about my own adult-to-child things ratio. If a Property Brother has embraced that kid-filled living situation, then I don’t feel so bad about mine!

Many people commented on the cute video. “Love all those baby gates!!” one person wrote.
