Full list of stores at risk of shutting<\/h3>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here is the full list of Wilko stores closing at the end of the working day on Tuesday, September 12:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acton<\/li>\n<li>Aldershot<\/li>\n<li>Barking<\/li>\n<li>Bishop Auckland<\/li>\n<li>Bletchley FF<\/li>\n<li>Brownhills<\/li>\n<li>Camberley<\/li>\n<li>Cardiff Bay Retail Park<\/li>\n<li>Falmouth<\/li>\n<li>Harpurhey<\/li>\n<li>Irvine<\/li>\n<li>Liverpool Edge Lane <\/li>\n<li>Llandudno<\/li>\n<li>Lowestoft<\/li>\n<li>Morley<\/li>\n<li>Nelson<\/li>\n<li>Port Talbot<\/li>\n<li>Putney<\/li>\n<li>Stafford<\/li>\n<li>Tunbridge Wells<\/li>\n<li>Wakefield<\/li>\n<li>Weston-super-Mare<\/li>\n<li>Westwood Cross<\/li>\n<li>Winsford<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following sites will close on Thursday, September 14:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ashford<\/li>\n<li>Avonmeads<\/li>\n<li>Banbury<\/li>\n<li>Barrow in Furness<\/li>\n<li>Basildon<\/li>\n<li>Belle Vale<\/li>\n<li>Burnley (Relocation)<\/li>\n<li>Clydebank<\/li>\n<li>Cortonwood<\/li>\n<li>Dagenham<\/li>\n<li>Dewsbury<\/li>\n<li>Eccles<\/li>\n<li>Folkestone<\/li>\n<li>Great Yarmouth<\/li>\n<li>Hammersmith<\/li>\n<li>Huddersfield<\/li>\n<li>Morriston<\/li>\n<li>New Malden<\/li>\n<li>North Shields<\/li>\n<li>Queen Street Cardiff<\/li>\n<li>Rhyl<\/li>\n<li>Southampton-West Quay<\/li>\n<li>St Austell<\/li>\n<li>Stockport<\/li>\n<li>Truro<\/li>\n<li>Uttoxeter<\/li>\n<li>Walsall<\/li>\n<li>Woking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The news today comes after\u00a0B&amp;M\u00a0agreed to\u00a0buy up to 51 locations\u00a0in a \u00a313million deal.<\/p>\n<p>There&#x27;s still hope that more of the remaining stores could be saved, along with thousands of the total 12,500 jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Administrators at PwC are &quot;actively working with potential buyers&quot; and &quot;exploring all interest in the reminder of the business&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>The closures and job cuts were announced after it became clear there was no interest from any potential buyers in those specific stores.<\/p>\n<p>The full list of\u00a0Wilko\u00a0stores which have been bought by B&amp;M is yet to be revealed.<\/p>\n<p>The union GMB indicated yesterday that workers at the 51 shops won&#x27;t automatically transfer to the new owner as the deal is only for stores, which are expected to be re-branded as B&amp;M.<\/p>\n<p>The discount chain said more information on the new\u00a0store openings\u00a0will be issued alongside its half-year financial results on November 9.<\/p>\n<p>The Sun previously revealed that weekend\u00a0negotiations between Canadian entrepreneur Doug Putman, who was eyeing up 300 stores,\u00a0had run into issues with suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>But a further 200 stores could still be saved with a new deal on the table from Mr Putman, according to insiders.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the first wave of\u00a0job cuts took place, with a total of 269 support centre team member\u00a0roles\u00a0being axed in its Worksop site.<\/p>\n<p>A further 14 jobs at\u00a0Kin Limited, a subsidiary of Wilko, have also been cut after it too fell into administration.<\/p>\n<p>It brings the total jobs lost so far to more than 1,500.<\/p>\n<p>Wilko\u00a0collapsed into administration on August 10\u00a0after the struggling retailer failed to find new backing for the\u00a0business.<\/p>\n<p>The company borrowed \u00a340million in 2022 from Hilco as well as cutting jobs and restructuring the leadership of the business.<\/p>\n<p>Chief executive officer, Mark Jackson,\u00a0said that the company had &quot;left no stone unturned&quot;\u00a0in a bid to save the chain.<\/p>\n<h2>Your rights in redundancy<\/h2>\n<p>Companies can choose to cut their workforce and employees should understand\u00a0their rights.<\/p>\n<p>You are entitled to statutory redundancy pay, but only if you have worked at your job for two years or more.<\/p>\n<p>The statutory rate is based on your age, weekly pay and number of years in the job.<\/p>\n<p>You will get:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Half a week\u2019s pay for each full year you worked aged under 22<\/li>\n<li>One week\u2019s pay for each full year you worked aged 22 or older, but under 41<\/li>\n<li>One and half week\u2019s pay for each full year you worked while aged 41 or older.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But it&#x27;s capped at 20 years and the max redundancy pay you can get is currently \u00a316,320.<\/p>\n<p>Some companies may offer to pay more than the statutory amount.
