THE search continues for a missing five-year-old girl who vanished on June 15 from Rogersville in Hawkins County, Tennessee.

Authorities are desperately searching for Summer Moon-Utah Wells, as the search has now stretched into its second day after the toddler was last seen on Tuesday, June 15.

Who is Summer Wells and when did she go missing?

According to police, Wells was last seen on June 15 outside her home in the Beech Creek community.

The five-year-old was reportedly wearing grey pants and a pink shirt with no shoes.

Investigators say she is three-feet tall, weighs 40 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.

An Amber Alert was issued on Wednesday, May 16 for the missing toddler.

What have the authorities said about her disappearance?

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations said Wells' hair may now be shorter than in some pictures being circulated.

Hawkins County Sheriff Ronnie Lawson said on June 16 that more than 100 people from 19 agencies are searching in the area where Wells was last seen.

Authorities encourage Beech Creek residents to check any sheds, crawl spaces, or other potential hiding places and check any trail cameras.

As of the evening of June 16, authorities said they've received more than 30 tips regarding Wells' whereabouts.

Do authorities believe foul play is involved?

Police say the circumstances surrounding Wells' disappearance remain unclear.

Hawkins County Sheriff Lawson said it was too early to tell if there was any foul play involved in the toddler's disappearance – but added that family members have been cooperative.

“We’re going to continue on until we find Summer and put this case to rest,” Lawson said during a press conference.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding Wells' whereabouts to come forward and call 911 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.
