Who is Elon Musk’s ex wife Talulah Riley and how does she know Ghislaine Maxwell? – The Sun
TALULAH Riley, actress and ex-wife of Elon Musk took to Twitter on Saturday to address rumors about friendship with Ghislaine Maxwell.
The actress admitted to being entertained at Jeffrey Epstein’s old residence in New York City.
Here is more about her statement and what she said about the rumors.
Who is Talulah Riley?
Talulah, 34, is the ex-wife of Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, 49.
She’s appeared in Hollywood movies such as Inception, Pride & Prejudice and HBO’s hit series Westworld.
Talulah was married to Elon and they divorced twice.
They began dating In 2008 and in 2010 they married at Dornoch Cathedral.
In January 2012, Musk announced that he had ended their relationship and sought a divorce. In July 2013, however, Musk and Riley remarried.
Why is she linked to Ghislaine Maxwell?
Talulah has come under fire over alleged friendship with Ghislaine and claims that she picked the actress to be Elon’s “child bride.”
She claims to not remember ever meeting Ghislaine, despite being possibly introduced to her at a social gathering.
"To my knowledge, I have never met Ghislaine Maxwell," she said.
"The other thing I have seen implied is that Maxwell procured me as some kind of child-bride for Elon,
"Again, I don’t know Maxwell. Elon and I met when I was twenty-two and he was on a business trip to London. It was a chance meeting, engineered by no one.
"It is possible I was briefly introduced to [Maxwell], but not in any way that I can remember,"
"Elon and I went to Epstein's house in NYC once as part of an itinerary of appointments. I can't even date it to a year – we used to travel constantly for work and the situation was pretty similar in any city/country: back-to-back meetings, a car with CPO drivers, and often a contact/minder/guide.
"This trip was no different."
She concluded saying: "I'm distressed by something so truly awful being thrown around this court-of-Twitter."
Elon also claims he does not have any relation to Ghislaine, despite a photo of them resurfaced posing together at a Vanity Fair party.
"Don’t know Ghislaine at all," he responded to a Twitter user who posted the picture of the pair.
"She photobombed me once at a Vanity Fair party several years ago. Real question is why VF invited her in the first place," he said.
The Vanity Fair party happened after Jeffrey Epstein pled guilty to soliciting a prostitute in Florida and for procuring an underage girl for prostitution.
Why is Ghislaine in trouble?
Ghislaine Maxwell is a British socialite and long-time partner of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
She was on the run after arrest and was apprehended last Thursday in New Hampshire for allegedly facilitating Epstein's recruitment of young girls and women.
Ghislaine has been named by multiple women as an accomplice to Epstein and his abuses.
The socialite has been known to be friends with high-profile people and those involved in politics such as the Clinton’s, President Trump and his wife Melania, and Prince Andrew.
A photo of Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and a young woman at the time named Virginia Roberts surfaced the internet recently, as the location is one of Ghislaine’s apartments.
Virginia alleges that she was trafficked by Epstein with the help of Ghislaine and forced to have sex with his friends, including Prince Andrew, when she was a minor.
What is she being charged with?
She is being charged with enticement and conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, transportation and conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and two counts of perjury, according to a US federal indictment unsealed Thursday.
The indictment states: "In particular, from at least in or about 1994, up to an including at least in or about 1997, Maxwell assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of minor girls by, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under the age of 18."
She was transferred to a New York federal prison on Monday where she will await trial.
