Teenager, 18, on quad bike ‘murdered’ in crash as mum pays tribute to her ‘brown-eyed boy’

A TEENAGER on a quad bike was allegedly murdered in a fatal crash with his heartbroken mum making a tribute to her "brown-eyed boy."

The 18-year-old was hurled to his death yesterday evening while sitting in the passenger seat of the bike during an alleged high-speed chase with a car in Bradford.

In footage seen by The Sun which we have chosen to not publish, the teen and his pal appear to be run off the road by a silver Ford Focus on Bradford’s Holme Wood Estate in West Yorkshire.

The 18-year-old suffered serious head injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, desperate attempts to revive him.

Floral tributes have been piling up for the lad after tragedy struck on Broadstone Way on Thursday evening.

West Yorkshire Police announced today they were now treating the death as murder.

Two males aged 19 and 30 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody, cops confirmed.

Officers from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are appealing for witnesses as active enquiries continue into the incident.

His mum left left a heart-breaking tribute: “My brown eyed boy. There’s no words son.

“You were, you are, my everything. I love you. No words can explain the pain.

"Just know you are loved deeply, and always will be.

“May baby, my son, my little man.”

The estate, where the tragic ordeal occurred, is said to be split by warring postcode gangs.

One local said: "We don't know if it connected but there is a gang at one end of the estate and another at the other end.

"There is some kind of feud between them and they are always at each other's throats."

Police said today: “At approximately 16.09pm yesterday police were called to reports of a serious road traffic collision at the location.

“The incident occurred when a vehicle, believed to be a silver Ford Focus collided with a quad bike.

“The passenger of the quad bike, an 18-year-old male, suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“The driver, a 19-year-old male was taken to hospital and remains in a serious condition.

”Two males aged 19 and 30 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody at this time.”

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Nicholson of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, who is leading the investigation, said: “We have launched a murder investigation regarding what has clearly been a very serious fatal collision in Bradford and are carrying out a number of active enquiries today.

“Two arrests have been made and there are further people we are seeking to identify and speak with regarding potential involvement in this matter.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or that may have dash cam footage, in particular of the silver Ford Focus to contact the police.

“Anyone with any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Homicide and Major Enquiry Team via 101 quoting crime reference 13210276071 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
